Bank Polska Kasa Opieki (the Bank) is a commercial bank providing a range of banking services, mainly in Poland. The segments of the Bank are as follows: Retail banking, which comprises all banking activities related to retail customers and small and micro companies; Private banking, which comprises all banking activities related to the affluent individual customers; Corporate and Investment banking, which comprises all banking activities related to the companies, interbank market, debt securities and other instruments; and Assets and Liabilities Management and other, which is engaged in the supervision and monitoring of fund transfers, and other activities centrally managed.
FAMUR SA is a Poland-based manufacturer of mining equipment and machinery. The main area of the Company's operations is manufacture of automated longwall systems enabling the exploitation of coal. The Company also specializes in design and production of equipment for underground mines and open pits, as well as bulk material handling equipment and machines for coal preparation plants. The Company's products portfolio includes electric and hydraulic shearers, roof support, hydraulic control system, conveyors and crushers. FAMUR SA is also engaged in the development of information technology solutions and management system for coal industry. The Company operates through subsidiaries, based in Poland, Germany and the Russian Federation. The Company's major shareholder was TDJ SA, with a stake 71.28%. On November 27, 2014 the Company acquired 76,69% of stake in FAMAK SA.
Grupa Azoty is engaged in the processing of nitrogen products, the production and sales of fertilizers, the production and sales of plastics, the production and sales of oxo alcohols, the production and sales of titanium dioxide, the production and sales of melamine, the extracting and sulphur products processing, and the extracting of phosphate rock. Co. and its subsidiaries have five operating segments: Fertilizers-Agro; Plastics; Chemical; Energy, includes activities that concern production of electricity and heat; and Other Activities, which comprises other operations, such as laboratory services, rental of properties and other activities that cannot be allocated to other segments.
Grupa Lotos is an oil concern which deals with oil extraction and processing and trading of high quality oil products. Co. supplies the market with, unleaded petrol, diesel oil, fuel oil, aviation fuel, industrial oil, asphalt and paraffin, among other things. Co. is engaged in the production and sales of engine oils and bitumen in Poland. Co. maintains oil exploration and production activities in the Baltic, North Sea and Norwegian Sea and operates three refineries in Gdansk, Jaslo and Czechowice, Poland. Polnord is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the core business of Co. is construction and sale of residential and commercial property. Co.'s activities include construction; manufacturing of carpenter's works and woodwork for the construction industry; manufacturing sanitary ware, concrete and plaster products; manufacturing metal construction elements; wholesale of construction material, sanitary equipment, metal articles as well as hydraulic and heating equipment; wholesale of chemical equipment; export of construction services; real estate maintenance; activities relative to architecture and engineering; and lease of machines and construction equipment.
Zaklady Chemiczne Police SA is a Poland-based company that is engaged in the production of mineral fertilizers, titanium dioxide and chemicals. The Company divides its business activities into two main segments: Titanium White segment, which offers titanium dioxide pigments, used in the paints, plastics, rubber, textiles, ceramics and paper industries, and Mineral Fertilizers segment, which offers multi-component mineral fertilizers, and such nitrous fertilizer as urea, as well as ammonia, phosphoric and sulphuric acids, sodium fluosilicate, ferric sulphate II and distarpol. The Company operates through several subsidiaries and affiliates companies, such as PDH Polska SA or African Investment Group. The Company's majority stakeholder is the Polish State, which controls 59.43% of the shares.
