Tug-of-war between fundamentals and trade tensions

• It has been a reassuring reporting season for the luxury industry, as highlighted by the average 6% FX-n growth achieved by our luxury sample in H1. More importantly, it confirmed the strong outperformance of the best-performing groups such as LVMH, Kering, Moncler and Hermès, which continue to gain market share, partly thanks to margin gains that are reinvested into marketing, digital and customer experience initiatives. Tod’s Group and Swatch Group were the worst performers.

Co.'s fragrances product category involves the creation, development and production of fragrances and related products under the Salvatore Ferragamo brand. Co. is also active in the licensing of the Salvatore Ferragamo brand and in real estate management.

Swatch Group is active in finished watches and jewelry sector with 20 brands in all market and price brackets. In addition, Co. is engaged in the sector of watch movements and components production as well as in the electronic systems sector. Co.'s operations can be divided into two segments: Watches & Jewelry, which is engaged in the production and sale of watches and jewelry; and Electronic Systems, which is engaged in the design, production and commercialization of electronic components, sports timing activities. Co. manufactures and sells watches under the following brands, among others: Breguet, Harry Winston, Blancpain, Glashutte Original, Jaquet Droz, Leon Hatot, and Omega.

TOD'S S.p.A.

Tod's operates in the luxury sector under its proprietary brands (TOD'S, HOGAN and FAY) and licensed brands (ROGERVIVIER). Co. creates, produces and distributes shoes, leather goods and accessories, and apparel. The TOD'S brand is known for shoes and luxury leather goods. The HOGAN brand is known for shoe collections for women, men and children, and also crafts various leather goods items. FAY is a brand with a focus on casual wear. ROGERVIVIER brand includes shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry and sunglasses.
