Insights from the Clean Mobility & Sustainability conference

Earlier this week, we held the Clean Mobility & Sustainability conference at the Novotel Eiffel Hotel in Paris, gathering 13 listed companies for in-person meetings, mostly at C-level, and more than 100 participants.

Alfen NV (Alfen) is a company based in the Netherlands, engaged in the design, development and production of electric grid equipment. The Company is active in three business lines: Smart Grids, which supplies standardized electricity grid connection systems, secondary transformer substations, local power grids, devices for grid automation, as well as software and back-end systems for remote management and grid control; Energy Storage, responsible for development and installation of modular energy storage systems under the brand TheBattery, which are used by utilities, grid operators, energy traders and industrial companies, among others, and Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging, which supplies EV charge points in a variety of capacities and functionalities for use at home, work and in public areas. In addition, Alfen offers service, management and maintenance activities, including remote support and monitoring, as well as an in-house technological know-how center.

Avantium NV

Avantium NV Formerly known as Avantium Holding BV. Avantium NV, formerly Avantium Holding BV, is a company based in the Netherlands engaged in environmental research and development (R&D). The Company develops chemical technologies and production processes to convert bio-based feedstock into sustainable products. The Company's business comprises three segments: Catalysis, Renewable Chemistries, and YXY. Catalysis segment provides catalysis R&D services and systems to chemical, refinery and energy companies, utilizing its Flowrence Technology Platform to devise the appropriate catalyst testing solutions. Renewable Chemistries is the development division with a portfolio of projects focusing on the conversion of biomass to chemical building blocks and plastic materials. The YXY segment comprises the activities of Syviana, the joint venture with BASF SE. Ceres Power Holdings is a fuel cell technology and engineering company. Co. is working with partners to embed its SteelCell™ technology in mass-market energy products for the commercial, residential and transportation markets. SteelCell™ is Co.'s Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. SteelCell™ is a perforated sheet of steel with special screen-printed ceramic layers that electrochemically convert a variety of fuels directly into power. The principal activity of Co.'s subsidiary, Ceres Power Ltd is the commercialisation and continued development of Co.'s fuel cell technology.

Engie EPS SA

Engie Eps SA, formerly know as Electro Power Systems, is a France-based technology company. It focuses on energy storage systems and microgrids towards renewable sources and decentralized energy production. The Company owns a portfolio of hybrid energy storage systems (HyESS) offering fully integrated storage solutions for a wide range of applications, such as grid support and distributed energy solutions, microgrids and storage technologies, among others. The Company's technology is a spin-off of the Turin and Milan Polytechnics, is protected by 130 patents, registered in 33 countries worldwide and over 500 registered industrial secrets.

ITM Power designs and manufactures integrated hydrogen energy systems for energy storage and clean fuel production. McPhy Energy SA

McPhy Energy SAS is a France-based company that develops hydrogen storage and production solutions for the merchant hydrogen market and renewable energy markets. The Company sells solid-state hydrogen technology to provide a way for industrial gas renewable energy storage. Its products include the electrolyzer, a hydrogen generator that uses water as a raw material; solid hydrogen storage solutions with MCP and MGH series; and other ways that integrate electrolyzers and other solutions. It has offices in such countries as France, Italy and Germany and agents and distributors in Europe, Asia and Americas.

NEL ASA

NEL ASA develops diagnostic tests for early detection of diseases. Co.'s patented method is based on identifying disease-specific gene expression signatures from sample materials, such as blood. Co.'s products in development phase include MCItect, for patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) aimed to detect Alzheimer disease within two years prior to onset of dementia, and ADtect, for the detection of mild to moderate Alzheimer disease, as well as one project in discovery phase, namely AMYtect, for brain amyloid detection.
