Canada’s Senate passes recreational cannabis law with strong majority
Yesterday, Canada’s Senate voted 56-30 in favour of the legislation of recreational cannabis but included amendments that the House of Commons will need to decide on before the law can be passed. We would expect that all will be wrapped up in the coming weeks which probably mean that recreational cannabis will be for sale in Canada by September/October.Canopy Growth is a licensed producer of medical marijuana in Canada.
