Rumours about a potential deal between Dialog and Synaptics
On Friday, Bloomberg said that Dialog and Synaptics were in talks about a potential deal. Later in the day, CNBC wrote that Dialog made a first offer in March at USD59, a 25% premium compared with Synaptics close price. Dialog is obviously looking for opportunities to mitigate its decreasing revenue from Apple representing more than 75% of its business. Synaptics is a leading company in human interface solutions for smartphones, and could be a good fit but raise questions about how such a deal could be financed.
