Nestlé: (NEUTRAL, Fair Value CHF84 (+12%))
Increasing pressure
Activist Third Point, which took a 1.3% stake in Nestlé in June 2017, has issued a press release in which it called the group’s strategy “muddled”. The main criticisms were the company was: 1/ not moving fast enough to divest its underperforming and non-strategic assets and 2/ not selling its 23% stake in L’Oréal and using the proceeds to purchase companies or repurchase shares.
