Despite a tough start to the year and a harmful FX headwind, this H1 earnings season proved to be the best vintage since H1 2015, thanks to improving trends in North America and a robust momentum in emerging markets. Safilo excepted, which is in the midst of its turnaround journey, all our groups have reiterated FY outlook and we recall that recent FX moves (i.e. strengthening of the USD) imply a more favourable FX environment over H2.
