SECTOR | Pharmaceuticals | MS: Ocrevus expected to maintain leadership
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) should continue to grow. This report follows a meeting we organized with a KOL. The MS market represented about USD23bn in 2018 and should continue to grow at about 3% p.a. thanks to new drug launches and despite some generic entries (mainly glatiramer acetate and then Gilenya). MS is an autoimmune disease that affects women more than men with a peak in frequency between 20 and 40 years of age. It has two main forms: a relapsing-remitting form and a progressive form, the latter with two "sub-types".
