Unilever: Management’s confidence overshadowed the Q2 sales miss

Unilever: (NEUTRAL, Fair Value EUR49 (0%))
Management’s confidence overshadowed the Q2 sales miss
Q2 organic sales rose 1.6%, in line with our forecast but below market expectations (+2.2%). This was overshadowed by management’s confidence about the top line acceleration in H2, the FY EBIT margin delivery expected by consensus and the vote for the end of the dual-headed structure. Our view remains there is no opportunity at the current share price. We maintain our Neutral recommendation, even though we acknowledge the buyback program could provide some support in the short term.
