Avianca Holdings And Its Subsidiaries Carried More Than 2.4 Million Passengers In September 2016

In September, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*) transported 2,419,235 passengers, an increase of 5.2% compared to September 2015. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 3.0%, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (revenue passenger kilometers), increased 8.1%. The load factor for the month was 81.9%, an increase of 380 bps compared to the same period of 2015.

Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador

In September, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within each of these markets a total of 1,451,213 travelers, an increase of 3.9% compared to September 2015. Capacity (ASKs) increased 2.2% while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 4.0%. The load factor for the month was 78.8%, an increase of 140 bps compared to the same period of 2015.

International markets

In September, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 968,022 passengers on international routes, up 7.2% compared to September 2015, Capacity (ASKs) increased 3.2%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 9.3%. The load factor for the month was 82.8%, an increase of 460 bps when compared to the same period of 2015.
