AXA Announces Addition of Long-Term Care Services(SM) Rider to Guaranteed Issue Program

AXA, a leader in providing financial security and retirement products, announced today that it is now offering its competitive Long-Term Care ServicesSM Rider (LTCSR)1 to its Guaranteed Issue Program, giving employers a way to offer the long-term care coverage their key executives want and need.

AXA’s Guaranteed Issue Program streamlines the process for obtaining life insurance. It is based on formulas and employee classifications, instead of lengthy medical questionnaires and exams, and is now able to offer the only true long-term care rider in a Guaranteed Issue Program.

“We heard our clients saying that they are always looking for ways to attract, reward and retain key executives,” said Ronald Herrmann, Head of the US Life business for AXA. “By adding the option of the LTCSR to our Guaranteed Issue Program, we’re able to strengthen our offering and provide clients with a way to offer long-term care coverage that their key executives are looking for.”

Traditionally, employers have offered retirement benefits or life insurance or a combination of the two. Now they have the flexibility to round out their benefits plan by adding long-term care coverage as part of the Guaranteed Issue Program. One of the most competitive and flexible long-term care riders in the industry, AXA’s Long-Term Care ServicesSM Rider requires no receipts; has features that may help their employees keep pace with rising long-term care costs; doesn’t allow the policy to lapse while claims are being paid; and allows the employee’s condition to be temporary. 2 The Guaranteed Issue Program also offers the flexibility for key executives to be added to the plan in later years and is fully portable, so they can take the coverage with them should they leave the company.

AXA’s Guaranteed Issue Program with Long -Term Care ServicesSM Rider option provides protection and flexibility for employees and their families, without the typical tradeoffs. They are able to receive traditional life insurance protection; additional ways to save for and help preserve retirement income (with the cash value of permanent life insurance); tax-deferred growth; a tax-free life insurance benefit; and an option to help pay for long-term care expenses without having to use their savings.

1 The Long-Term Care ServicesSM Rider does have an additional cost and is subject to restrictions and limitations. Clients may qualify for life insurance, but not for the Long-Term Care ServicesSM Rider.

2 Not applicable in CT and NY.
