Axalta will showcase its advanced architectural portfolio, which includes its next generation AR500 series fluoropolymer powder coatings that are formulated to meet the most stringent exterior performance standards of the architectural industry. This series is designed to provide the highest level of color and gloss retention available and exceeds American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) 2605 requirements. AR500 is recommended for use in applications such as window frames, cladding and shopfronts, or where superior levels of exterior weatherability are required.

In addition to the hyper-durable AR500 polyester series, Axalta will also feature its AR400 super-durable TGIC-free polyester architectural collection formulated to provide first-pass transfer efficiency, superior mechanical performance and excellent flow. It also has exceptional leveling properties. When compared with traditional TGIC containing powder coatings, Axalta’s TGIC-free coatings are more environmentally responsible and feature high quality exterior grade pigments that exhibit superior weathering properties which exceed AAMA 2604 requirements.

The Facades+ Miami conference will begin with a symposium at Faena Forum theater with special guest keynote speakers and presentations. The following day consists of hands-on lab and dialog workshops at the Florida International University College of Communication, Architecture, and the Arts.
