CEMEX Contributes to Texas Relief Effort

CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (“CEMEX”) (NYSE: CX) announced today a total US$500,000 donation for employee and community relief efforts in Texas, U.S.A., after the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.

CEMEX USA has a strong operational and commercial presence in the Greater Houston area, where it is also headquartered. A rapid response effort to provide aid to employees and their families has been launched. Fortunately, all CEMEX employees are safe.

CEMEX established a fund to receive voluntary donations from its personnel worldwide to help affected colleagues. Total funds contributed will be matched by the company.

“Our top priority is the safety of our employees. We will continue to assist our colleagues and their families affected by this devastating storm,” said Fernando A. Gonzalez, CEO of CEMEX. “Our thoughts are with the people in Texas. We trust their resilience will help them overcome this tragedy.”
