DXC Technology Named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion by AAPD and USBLN

DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), the world’s leading independent, end-to-end IT services company, today announced that the company has received the top score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index® (DEI®), a joint initiative of the U.S. Business Leadership Network (USBLN®) and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD).

The index is aimed at promoting inclusivity and understanding of people with disabilities in the workplace. As a top-scoring company, DXC is also being recognized as one of the “2017 DEI Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.”

“Inclusion and diversity is a critical success factor in DXC’s transformation journey, and we are honored to be named a DEI Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion,” said Jo Mason, DXC executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “At DXC, we work to create a positive environment where our employees can thrive and contribute to our success. We do so by attracting employees from all backgrounds and giving them the tools to succeed.”

The purpose of the DEI is to help companies identify opportunities for continued improvement and reputation management on their disability inclusion policies and practices. Receiving a top score on the DEI demonstrates business leadership that goes beyond compliance activities to drive business success through leading disability inclusion policies and practices. This year’s DEI survey was completed by 110 Fortune 1000-scope businesses, with just 68 employers earning the top rating of 100. DEI points are awarded in four major categories:

  1. Culture & Leadership;
  2. Enterprise-wide Access;
  3. Employment Practices; and
  4. Community Engagement & Support Services.

DXC strives to empower employees for optimal engagement with their teams and clients to achieve strategic results. DXC encourages diversity and inclusion initiatives as part of the company’s overall corporate responsibility efforts.

The company’s strategy for attracting and retaining talent is implemented through community outreach, networking and employment opportunities via collaborative partnerships with other industry leaders, civilian organizations, government agencies and nonprofit organizations with the same mission.

About Disability Equality Index® (DEI ®)

The Disability Equality Index (DEI) is a unique, joint project of USBLN (US Business Leadership Network) and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD). It serves as the nation’s most trusted annual benchmarking tool allowing America’s leading corporations to self-report their disability policies and practices. This evolving survey then scores each corporation on a scale from 0 to 100—100 representing the most inclusive. The DEI was developed by the two national leaders in consultation with the appointed DEI Advisory Committee, a diverse and voluntary group of experts in business, policy, and disability advocacy.
