Midstream Business Names Jim Teague Executive of the Year

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD) today announced that A.J. “Jim” Teague, chief executive officer of its general partner, was named executive of the year at the Midstream Business Excellence Awards presented recently in San Antonio, Texas. He was honored for his achievements which helped the company to excel in 2015, a challenging year for the energy industry. Midstream Business is a Hart Energy publication.

The award was presented as part of the three-day Texas Midstream Conference, during which Mr. Teague delivered the keynote address. To establish the criteria for the 2015 executive of the year recipient, organizers focused on leadership that has led to significant growth or has had a transformational, positive change for the company or the industry. Mr. Teague was elected chief executive officer of Enterprise’s general partner effective January 1, 2016. He served as Enterprise’s chief operating officer from 2010 through 2015. Mr. Teague joined Enterprise in 1999 as executive vice president through the partnership’s acquisition of Shell Oil’s midstream energy business in Louisiana and Mississippi. He was previously an executive with MAPCO Inc. and The Dow Chemical Company.

“On behalf of Enterprise’s employees and investors, I would like to congratulate Jim on this well-deserved recognition,” stated Randa Duncan Williams, chairman of the board of Enterprise’s general partner. “Jim has been instrumental in guiding Enterprise over the past seventeen years. He was a visionary in recognizing the benefits of new supplies of natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil from shale developments to the domestic petrochemical industry as well as the need for U.S. producers to have water-access to international markets for their growing production. Jim was integral to our success in a challenging 2015 as we successfully began operations at newly-constructed facilities, developed additional organic growth projects and executed on day-to-day opportunities.”
