Easy to set up and use, customers can download the Android Pay app and add an eligible credit or debit card. Simply tap the Android smartphone on any contactless terminal and the payment is sent for authorization. Android Pay is designed to align with industry tokenization standards, which means it does not share customers’ actual credit or debit card numbers with the merchant when they pay in stores. Instead, Android Pay uses a virtual account number to represent the card. For additional security, a user’s Android devices can be configured to provide immediate notification of transactions made with the user’s Android Pay account. And if your Android phone is ever lost or stolen, you can simply use Google’s Find My Device feature to instantly lock your device from anywhere, secure it with a new password, or even wipe it clean of your personal information.
