Glory Reaffirmed as Global Leader in Teller Automation Solutions by RBR

According to the latest Teller Automation and Branch Transformation report by strategic research and consulting company RBR, Glory continues to lead the global market for Teller Automation solutions with 57% marketshare. The report also shows that Glory’s share of the market for teller cash recyclers (one aspect of teller automation) remains at 52 percent not including solutions sold under OEM licensing agreements with other companies. Glory is the leading manufacturer of teller cash recycling units in 18 countries, including established markets such as the USA, Brazil, UK, Italy and Germany as well as emerging markets including Indonesia, Thailand and Ukraine

In recent years, banks and financial institutions have responded to changing customer behaviour and evolving cost pressures by adjusting the format, and focus of their branches. The report by RBR found that while the most significant drivers of TAU deployment continue to be increased efficiency, security and accuracy compared to manual teller systems, enabling cross-selling opportunities and relationship building also ranked highly.

Glory manufactures a range of TAUs including recyclers and dispensers. They include the RBG-100, Vertera 6G, the Vertera STC for cash positive branches and the Vertera ETD for customers looking for standalone teller cash recyclers.

Paul Race, Director Global Marketing at Glory, commented:RBR’s report shows that Glory continues to be at the forefront of the transformation taking place in branch banking. Banks and other financial institutions are consistently realising the benefits of teller automation particularly increased efficiency. Reducing the burden and time for counting cash allows them to dedicate more resources to enhancing the in-branch experience delivering more personal service and advice to their customers. We are delighted that Glory’s technology continues to be the first choice for so many financial institutions around the world.”

RBR’s Teller Automation report is a bi-annual assessment of the current deployment levels of TAUs among banks and other financial institutions. It also evaluates the future potential for TAUs and other new teller automation solutions in 26 countries worldwide, identifying the main market drivers and inhibitors of TAU deployment.
