HilltopSecurities’ Private Client Group Welcomes Advisors, Branch Managers in California, Oklahoma

Hilltop Securities Inc. (HTS) announced today that financial advisors Lynn McAmis, William B. Howard, Kyle Franklin, Steven J. Balaban and Kevin J. Jean have joined the company’s Private Client Group in California and Oklahoma. In addition to their roles as financial advisors, Mr. McAmis and Mr. Balaban join the firm as branch managers in Monterey, Calif., and Oklahoma City, Okla., respectively.

About Lynn McAmis

Mr. McAmis joins HilltopSecurities as Senior Vice President, Branch Manager in Monterey, Calif. Mr. McAmis joins HTS from NBC Securities where he was director of the firm’s Florida Region Private Client Group. He began his career with Smith Barney in 1984 and has also held leadership positions with E.F. Hutton and Shearson Lehman Hutton.

About William B. Howard

Mr. Howard joins HilltopSecurities as Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor in San Francisco, Calif. He previously served clients for 10 years at Oppenheimer & Co., most recently as a senior director. He began his career in the financial services industry with Wells Fargo Securities in 1995. Prior to his time at Oppenheimer, Mr. Howard was a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor with Stone & Youngberg in San Francisco. He has also served as an advisor with Banc of America Investment Services and Citicorp Investment Services.

About Kyle Franklin

Mr. Franklin joins HilltopSecurities as a Financial Advisor in Roseville, Calif., with more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, most recently with First Allied Securities. He began his career with Thomson McKinnon, and is a graduate of U.C. Davis.

About Steven J. Balaban

Mr. Balaban joins HilltopSecurities as Senior Vice President, Branch Manager in Oklahoma City, Okla. He joins HTS from Williams Financial Group where he served as an independent financial advisor. Prior to joining Williams Financial Group, Mr. Balaban served 28 years with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, serving in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as First Vice President, Branch Manager in Oklahoma City and Norman, Okla.

About Kevin J. Jean

Mr. Jean joins HilltopSecurities as a Financial Advisor in Oklahoma City, Okla. He previously served as a financial advisor for individual and business clients with Principal Financial Group. His career spans more than two decades working as an executive in the academic, philanthropic and corporate communities. Mr. Jean earned a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Christian University, and master’s degrees from Phillips Theological Seminary, Western Theological Seminary and Duke University. He completed postgraduate studies in executive management at Harvard University.
