Imperva Named a Leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Application Firewalls for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Imperva, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMPV), committed to protecting business-critical data and applications in the cloud and on-premises, today announced that it has been named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Application Firewalls (WAF). Imperva provides comprehensive WAF protection for data and applications with flexible deployment via on-premises, in the cloud or through a combination of both.

“For the fourth year in a row, Imperva has been placed in the Leaders Quadrant. We believe that our ability to offer a flexible on-premises and cloud WAF plan via the new Imperva FlexProtect is one reason that Imperva continues to be a leader,” said Terry Ray, CTO of Imperva. “Our customers demand comprehensive protection, accurate detection, and flexible deployment options that keep pace with the ever-changing threat landscape, and I’m thrilled to say that we feel Gartner’s recognition proves this point again.”

According to Gartner, “The ability of WAFs to integrate with other enterprise security technologies — such as application security testing (AST), database monitoring, or security information and event management (SIEM) — is a capability that supports its strong presence in the enterprise market.”1

About Imperva WAF Solutions

Imperva SecureSphere WAF analyzes user access to business-critical web applications and protects these applications and the data they utilize from targeted web-based attacks. It learns what is considered “normal” behavior and correlates this with crowd-sourced threat intelligence from Imperva ThreatRadar, which includes IP Reputation, Bot Mitigation, Account Takeover Protection and Fraud Prevention services.

Imperva Incapsula is a cloud-based WAF delivered as a service that enables customers to protect websites and increase their performance, improve end user experiences and safeguard web applications and their data from attack. Incapsula includes robust WAF capabilities to thwart web attacks, DDoS mitigation to ensure access to online business assets, a content delivery network to optimize and accelerate web traffic, and a load balancer to maximize the potential of web environments.

Imperva WAF solutions can be deployed in customer data centers, as a cloud service or on multiple cloud infrastructures, such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The solutions can be managed directly by the customer or delivered as a managed service. Those seeking a comprehensive application and data security solution both in-the-cloud and on-premises can opt for our innovative FlexProtect approach which offers simple, flexible licensing for Imperva solutions.
