Iteris, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITI), the global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, today announced that Muddy Boots Software has purchased a multi-year global subscription to its ClearAg® global weather information for integration into Muddy Boots’ Greenlight Grower Management System, enabling real-time precise field and crop data. Growers using Muddy Boots’ cloud-based Greenlight Grower Management program will now be able to optimize decisions based upon current and forecasted field-level weather conditions to maximize yield, reduce risk, and to better understand where, when and how to protect crop production.

“We strive to provide our customers with state-of-the-art farm management solutions that allow precision environmental data access anywhere and in real-time,” said Jonathan Evans, Managing Director, Muddy Boots. “ClearAg provides the best coverage and agronomic content available for our global users. Greenlight Grower Management users will better understand the crop production environment from a weather standpoint, so that chemical and fertilizer applications are traceable, our practices are sustainable, and we are able to better predict the ideal conditions required to increase yields.”

Supporting over 2,000 corporate clients with tens of thousands of unique global users across 40 countries, Muddy Boots’ supply chain solutions gives users insight into the performance of suppliers on the quality, compliance and provenance of the products they supply. Enabling greater transparency from grower to retailer, Muddy Boots mitigates risk and improves efficiency for the benefit of all stakeholders; contributing to a more sustainable future for food and farming. ClearAg weather data will allow Muddy Boots customers to access the best available weather information for reduced risk and more sustainable food production.

“By being able to accurately predict near-term weather and soil conditions, growers can make more informed crop management decisions,” said Iteris’ John Lord, Manager for EMEA, Agriculture and Weather Analytics. “The integration of ClearAg environmental insights will allow Muddy Boots customers to realize the full value of the Greenlight Grower Management software. With ClearAg, users will be able to better understand and anticipate the impacts of weather on crop production operations such as when to plant, when or where to apply chemical and fertilizer products, and how to best optimize labor and machinery resources.”
