WESTMINSTER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Students at Colorado Preparatory Academy (CPA), an accredited online public school, will begin their 2017-18 school year on Aug. 21. CPA is open to students statewide in kindergarten through 12th grade.
CPA specializes in programs designed specifically for advanced learners. College-minded students can choose from a broad range of courses in order to gain a competitive edge for the future and discover their path after high school. CPA also gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school and offers a post-secondary preparedness program that ensures students attending the school are prepared for college.
The school’s comprehensive education approach focuses on providing students with the academic, social and emotional support needed to succeed in school and beyond. The online learning environment allows students to work at their own pace, giving them time to progress faster in subjects at which they excel, while spending more time on subjects and lessons where they need more help.
“At Colorado Preparatory Academy, we strive to maximize each student’s learning potential,” said Nicole Tiley, head of school at CPA. “We believe that every child is capable of meeting our program’s high expectations.”
Each student at CPA is supported by state-certified teachers who monitor student progress while providing professional insight and instruction. Teachers communicate with students and parents via phone, email and the online classroom technology. Teachers aim to establish a partnership with parents, so the students benefit from a strong network of support.
The rigorous and engaging online curriculum includes courses in English/language arts, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as Advanced Placement® courses for high school students, who can also earn college credit while still in high school through concurrent enrollment.
CPA is still accepting enrollments for this fall. To learn more, visit http://cpa.k12.com.
