Insight School of Ohio Opens Enrollment for 2017-18 School Year

Insight School of Ohio (ISOH), a tuition-free online public school, welcomes families with students in grades 6-12 who reside in Ohio to enroll for the 2017-18 academic year. Through its engaging web-based lessons, live online learning sessions and support from experienced teachers and counselors, ISOH provides an education option that offers an individualized approach to learning for students of every ability level, including a competency in helping students who are struggling academically.

ISOH offers a wide variety of high school courses to help ensure that each student is taught at the right level and students can progress through their lessons at a pace suited to their individual learning style. This approach, combined with instruction from ISOH teachers and guidance from school support staff, encourages students to develop a firm grasp on the material. ISOH strives to develop students’ strengths while also addressing the areas where they need more focus. Credit recovery courses are available for students who need to catch up in a subject, as well as highly targeted remediation sessions to build specific skills.

With a highly supportive approach, ISOH teachers and counselors work with students and their families to help them overcome obstacles, including learning or behavioral issues, bullying, and more. The online curriculum is bolstered by a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, as well as a Family Support Team, which works with students and their families to provide the extra help needed to enable students to succeed in school and beyond.

“At ISOH we offer a high level of academic and emotional support for our middle and high school students -- motivating them, and helping them to get and stay on track,” said Amanda Conley, head of school at Insight School of Ohio. “We provide an education option for students who are struggling academically that inspires them to work hard and succeed, offering several programs such as credit recovery courses and self-improvement workshops that address students’ academic challenges and the needs of their families.”

ISOH teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, and regularly interact with students and parents via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions and phone. Regional drop in centers are available for students who require additional assistance and benefit from face-to-face instruction.

ISOH is now accepting enrollments for the 2017-2018 school year. Parents are encouraged to attend one of the online information sessions hosted by the school each month. More information on ISOH and upcoming events can be found at http://oh.insightschools.net/.
