Insight School of Ohio Welcomes New Students for Second Semester

Insight School of Ohio (ISOH), a tuition-free online public school for Ohio students statewide in grades 6 through 12, is open for second-semester enrollment in the current 2016-2017 school year. The deadline to enroll for the second semester at ISOH is April 17, 2017. ISOH is an education option available to students of every ability level, but possesses a competency in helping students who are struggling academically.

ISOH educates students through an engaging online curriculum that is supplemented with hands-on educational materials and the instruction of state-certified teachers. As a public school option, there is no tuition. In June 2016, ISOH celebrated its largest graduating class in school history.

"Insight School of Ohio offers targeted support for struggling students," said Amanda Conley, Head of School at Insight School of Ohio. "Traditional school is not always the best fit for every type of learner, and we understand that some students need more one-on-one instruction and attention to ensure they succeed."

With a unique and supportive approach, ISOH works with students and their families to help them overcome obstacles, including learning or behavioral issues, bullying, or a lack of effective alternatives. Students can progress through their lessons at a pace more suited to their individual learning style. This approach, combined with instruction from ISOH teachers and guidance from school support staff, encourages students to develop a firm grasp on the material. ISOH strives to develop students’ strengths while also addressing the areas where they need more focus.

ISOH offers a wide variety of high school courses to help assure that each student is taught at the right level. Credit recovery courses are available for students who need to catch up in a subject, as well as targeted remediation sessions to build specific skills. The online curriculum is bolstered by a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, as well as a Family Support Team to help students achieve success both academically and personally.

ISOH teachers provide instruction during live, interactive online classes, as well as through recorded sessions. Teachers are also available to students and their Learning Coaches (typically a parent or guardian) via email, phone and one-on-one online instruction. ISOH teachers strive to form a partnership with Learning Coaches so that students’ challenges and achievements can be more closely monitored.

Insight School of Ohio hosts online information sessions to help parents and children learn more about the program. For more information on the school, visit www.InsightOH.net.
