Insight Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School (ISPA) will open for its inaugural school year on Sept. 5th. An online public charter school available to Pennsylvania students in grades K-10, ISPA will grow to offer grades K-12 by the 2019-2020 school year.

At ISPA, students can explore their interests and get a head start on future opportunities. The school’s rigorous curriculum is delivered through live, online classes with Pennsylvania-certified teachers. Students will study the core subjects of math, science, English/language arts, and history, and have access to two career technical education (CTE) exploratory courses. ISPA’s CTE offerings will continue to grow as grades 11 and 12 are added over the next two years.
According to a national survey released by K12 Inc. and Edge Research earlier this year, almost 95 percent of Americans agree that high school students should have more opportunities to learn practical, real-world skills. Importantly, 56 percent of parents said two years of work experience is more valuable than a four-year liberal arts degree.
The flexibility of ISPA’s virtual classrooms means students can pursue their education from anywhere with an internet connection, and advance at a pace that is right for them. Advanced learners can progress quickly, while those who find concepts more challenging can take the extra time they need. Teachers craft learning plans for each student, and communicate regularly with families via phone, email and one-to-one online meetings.
