Insight School of Washington Accepting Enrollment for 2017-18 School Year

Enrollment at Insight School of Washington (ISWA), a tuition-free online public school, is now open for the 2017-18 school year. ISWA serves students in grades 9-12 throughout the state of Washington, providing the opportunity for students to get back on track academically in a distraction-free environment.

ISWA provides every student with an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP), which is informed by teachers who work with students to make sure the lesson plans are based on the student’s needs and the progress the student has made to date, as well as the student’s personal interests and college and career aspirations.

“At Insight School of Washington, we care and we don’t give up,” said ISWA head of school Jeff Bush. “We truly believe that every student and family who selects ISWA deserves our full attention. From onboarding to completing academic requirements, our goal is to provide every student who engages with our program the support necessary to improve and reach academic goals and personal well-being with a unique, successful online approach. Ultimately, we want to see every student who selects ISWA prepare themselves for the next stage of their educational journey, whether it be a career in work, college or other educational opportunities.”

The rigorous and engaging curriculum offered by ISWA includes courses in English/language arts, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as elective courses. State-certified teachers provide instruction, guidance and support and interact with student and parents via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions, phone and face-to-face meetings. In addition, qualifying students have the opportunity to enroll in college courses tuition-free through the Running Start Program, offered by their local community college, earning credits toward both a high school and college degree.

Additionally, ISWA offers a Social-Emotional Learning component called “The Seven Mindsets” through a homeroom advisory model tailored to provide students with the encouragement, strategies and confidence to become successful young adults. Moreover, the school provides opportunities for credit recovery, which enables students to concentrate on courses in a condensed schedule (typically a nine-week period) to help students get back on track and graduate from high school on time.

Interested families are invited to attend in-person or online information sessions. For more information on enrollment and a complete list of events, visit http://wa.insightschools.net.
