Students and teachers at iQ Academy Minnesota (iQMN), an online public school program of Fergus Falls Public Schools, will start the 2017-2018 school year on Sept. 5th. Tuition-free and open for all K-12 students in Minnesota, iQMN offers a personalized approach to learning that ensures every student receives an excellent educational experience.
iQMN uses a Flipped Classroom Model, a learning approach that blends teacher support with independent exploration in the virtual classroom. Students explore a topic on their own with an online lesson, and then attend live, online “work together” sessions hosted by a teacher. During work together sessions, teachers facilitate deeper exploration of the topic through discussion, rather than solely through lecture. Teachers are also available through online office hours, where they can provide one-to-one support.

Minnesota-certified teachers lead hundreds of live online lessons in the core subjects of language arts, math, science and history across all grade levels.
