KCSR Announces Appointment of Vice President Human Resources Janet Barr

Kansas City Southern (KCS) (NYSE: KSU) announced today that its subsidiary, The Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCSR), has appointed Janet Barr as vice president human resources. Ms. Barr reports to KCS senior vice president human resources Lora Cheatum.

“Janet brings a diverse background of disciplines and industries to the human resources function,” said Ms. Cheatum. “She is a great complement to the leadership team as we invest in the people and infrastructure to prepare for the company’s many long-term growth opportunities.”

Ms. Barr has more than 20 years of human resources and labor relations experience in the railroad, healthcare and utility industries. She joined KCSR in 2015 and has since gained progressive responsibility. Prior to KCSR, she managed the human resources functions for HCA Physician Services Group and Truman Medical Centers. Ms. Barr holds a master of business administration and a bachelor degree from the University of Kansas.
