Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS, LTS PrA) ("Ladenburg"), a publicly-traded diversified financial services company, today announced a number of executive appointments.
- Adam Malamed has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
- Doreen Griffith has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer.
- Carly Maher has been named Senior Vice President, Enterprise Initiatives.
- Doug Baxley has been named Vice President, Retirement and Fiduciary Services.

Mr. Malamed currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Ladenburg and has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer reflecting his executive role at the company. He has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2012 overseeing growth and operational initiatives and enterprise wide collaborative projects. Prior to his current role, he spent five years as the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc.
Ms. Griffith currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer of Ladenburg subsidiary Securities America, and has since overseen the consolidation of Ladenburg’s independent broker-dealers onto a unified technology platform. She has been appointed Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer at Ladenburg, reflecting her strong enterprise technology leadership efforts across the organization. Ms. Griffith will continue to serve in her current position at Securities America.
Ms. Maher currently serves as Senior Vice President, Products and Services Management, and has been appointed Senior Vice President, Enterprise Initiatives. She has built a firm-wide platform for Ladenburg’s product sponsors and has been a key participant in a number of the firm’s other strategically important endeavors. In addition to her current role, she will oversee advisor conferences, travel, procurement, subsidiary business planning, branding and marketing.
Mr. Baxley currently serves as the head of advisory compliance at Ladenburg subsidiary Securities Services Network (SSN), and has been named Vice President, Retirement and Fiduciary Services at Ladenburg, reflecting his expertise and knowledge of the advisory space and ERISA plans. He has served as the Chair of the Ladenburg DOL Task Force, and has led the DOL compliance and educational efforts at all of Ladenburg’s independent broker-dealers. He will continue his efforts with respect to DOL compliance efforts and assume responsibility, along with others, in building out an enterprise platform to support advisors who specialize in the small ERISA retirement plan area. Mr. Baxley will transition out of his current responsibilities at SSN in early 2017.
