Wisconsin Hospitality Linen Service Completes $2.3 Million Expansion

Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized hotel owner and management company and division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), today announced that its Wisconsin Hospitality Linen Service (WHLS) business unit has completed a $2.3 million expansion that will enable it to double its current capacity. WHLS provides commercial laundry services for Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Wisconsin properties, as well as for other hotels in the Midwest.

“WHLS currently processes approximately 10 million pounds of linen each year, including sheets, towels and restaurant linens. The new equipment, including an additional washer, dryers and finishing lines, will position us to double our capacity over the next five years,” said Tom Mason, senior vice president of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, who oversees WHLS operations.

“Many hotels prefer to outsource their laundry services to a third party. As the only central laundry facility in the area that is owned and operated by a hospitality company, we understand the needs and challenges of the industry,” added Mason.

WHLS has been the area leader in commercial laundry services for the hospitality industry for over 20 years. The business was founded by Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 1995 and has operated at its current 32,000 square foot facility near the Milwaukee airport since 2001.
