Masonite International Corporation Provides Update Related to Hurricane Irma

Masonite International Corporation (NYSE: DOOR) today provided an update regarding the impact to its operations from Hurricane Irma. In addition to its corporate offices, Masonite operates its Digital Innovation Center and three manufacturing plants in Florida, as well as several plants in adjacent states that experienced severe weather conditions.

“On the heels of the storm, our top priority was ensuring that our employees and their families were safe,” stated Fred Lynch, President and Chief Executive Officer. “I’m pleased to report that our team is back at work assisting our customers with their post-storm needs. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the storm and we remain committed to supporting our customers and the communities that are recovering.”

The Company confirmed that none of its facilities or inventories were damaged. While production was interrupted immediately before and after the storm, all of the company’s plants in Florida and the Southeast had power restored and resumed normal operations as of last Thursday.

Masonite will continue to monitor any storm-related impacts to its business. At this time, however, we do not believe there will be any material adverse financial impact to the company as a result of Hurricane Irma.

Masonite also announced that in support of relief efforts it will contribute $50,000 to Team Rubicon, a nonprofit organization that unites the skills of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. “The outpouring of support from Masonite employees across the country is heartwarming, with many of our plants organizing collection drives for food, water and other essentials to send to hurricane stricken areas,” said Lynch. “We are proud to join them by also providing corporate financial support to critical recovery activities.”
