Molina Healthcare Plans Earn National Quality Ratings from NCQA’s Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2017-2018

Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:MOH) today announced that all of its eligible health plans received ratings from the widely respected National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as part of the Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings for 2017-2018. Out of Molina’s 11 rated state health plans, eight of them either increased or maintained their scores this year at a 3.0 or above. The ratings measure Medicaid health plans based on their combined HEDIS®, CAHPS® and NCQA Accreditation standards scores. Molina’s health plans in California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin all reported measures and received health plan numerical ratings.

This year, Molina’s health plan in Wisconsin increased its overall rating of 3.0 out of 5 to 3.5 out of 5 while Molina Healthcare’s newest NCQA-rated health plans in Illinois and South Carolina improved their overall ratings from 2.5 out of 5 to 3.0 out of 5 in NCQA’s Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2017-2018. In addition, Molina’s health plans in New Mexico, Ohio and Washington each remained as one of the top-rated Medicaid health plans in their respective states, with an overall rating of 3.0 out of 5 in New Mexico, 3.5 out of 5 in Ohio and 3.5 out of 5 in Washington.
