Piper Jaffray and CIBC Enter into Exclusive Equity Research Distribution Agreement

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Piper Jaffray Companies (NYSE: PJC), a leading investment bank and asset management firm, is pleased to announce the firm is entering into an exclusive equity research distribution agreement with the capital markets arm of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). CIBC will be the exclusive distributor of Piper Jaffray research in the Canadian market.

“While we previously marketed to Canadian clients directly, we are very pleased to be partnering with CIBC to deliver our highly rated research and analysts to a broader institutional client base,” said Jeff Klinefelter, global head of equities at Piper Jaffray. “We look forward to expanding our research footprint by working with a best-in-class peer to further our efforts.”

The Piper Jaffray equity research group consists of 40 senior analysts covering 750 companies in the consumer, energy, financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, and technology sectors.

The exclusive distribution agreement is effective as of December 5, 2016.
