Gamma Implements PROACTIS to Streamline Purchasing & Invoice Processing

PROACTIS, a global Spend Control and eProcurement solution provider, today announced communications supplier, Gamma, has implemented PROACTIS’ Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) software and Invoice Managed Service solutions.

Gamma is a leading supplier of voice, data and mobile products and services in the UK, with over 750 staff based across the UK and in Budapest. As a growing organisation, with two independent purchase ordering systems operating across the business, they recognised a need to implement greater discipline and control around their internal purchasing processes.

As part of a systems rationalisation strategy, Gamma recognised the need to implement a best-in-class eProcurement solution that would integrate to their existing system; PS Financials, to provide greater control over the goods and services they buy, as well as streamline their invoice processing.

Helen Higgons, Group Financial Controller at Gamma said “We needed a solution that would be easy for staff to purchase the goods and services they needed within corporate controls, while also providing us with greater visibility of the cost-pipeline and reducing the amount of time and effort spent on invoice processing”.

PROACTIS P2P has been rolled-out at Gamma’s headquarters in Newbury and offices across the UK, initially providing 150 employees with a 'guided buying' experience which ensures compliance with corporate policies and avoids unnecessary or inappropriate purchases.

The Invoice Capture Managed Service removes the burden of receiving and processing paper & PDF-based invoices by electronically capturing and validating invoices and importing them into PROACTIS P2P for automatic Purchase Order matching and transferring for payment in the company’s PS Financials system.

“Since implementing PROACTIS, we have already seen an improvement in our budget and cash management, as well as a dramatic reduction in the time and effort involved in the whole purchase-to-pay process” added Higgons.

Final pieces of the jigsaw are falling into place

Rosslyn Data Tech is a Big Data Procurement, AI & Customs Management software specialist that is transitioning into a high growth, profitable & cash generative SaaS firm. Sure, it’s not quite there yet…but the stars are aligning. Particularly after the appointment of CEO Paul Watts in April, who has literally grabbed the business by the scruff of the neck. Clearly the pandemic hasn’t helped. Yet, equally one could argue that with the shares languishing on a 1.7x trailing EV/turnover multiple (...

Back to the present, the company reports no orders were cancelled in H1’21, and H2 has “begun well ”, after “a number of new customer wins as well as good levels of upsell ”. Including a host of bookings for the group’s leading 100% cloud-powered Customs softw...

In the right place at the right time

We think this ‘battle-hardened’, cash-rich (Est. April ’21 net funds of £6.1m) & now profitable SaaS firm is ideally placed to benefit from strong secular demand for its cutting-edge & fully integrated Big Data, AI, spend analytics, SMDM (Supplier Master Data Management) & customs/duty handling applications. Today the company posted record revenues (FY20 £7.1m +2.1% LY) & profits, aided by the £49k acquisition of Langdon (+£0.9m) in Sept’19, partly offset by the elimination of low margin pass-...
