Western Asset Intermediate Muni Fund Inc. Announces Results of Annual Meeting of Shareholders

Western Asset Intermediate Muni Fund Inc. (the “Fund”), which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE Amex) under the symbol (NYSE Amex: “SBI”), announced today the results of the votes cast at the Fund’s annual meeting of shareholders held March 31, 2017.

William R. Hutchinson was elected as a Class III Director of the Fund by holders of the Fund’s auction rate cumulative preferred stock and variable rate demand preferred stock (“preferred stock”) to hold office until the annual meeting of shareholders in the year 2020 or thereafter when a successor is duly elected and qualified or until he resigns or is otherwise removed.

Daniel P. Cronin and Leslie H. Gelb were elected as Class III Directors of the Fund by owners of its common stock and its preferred stock, consisting of auction rate cumulative preferred stock and variable rate demand preferred stock, voting together as a single class, to hold office until the annual meeting of shareholders in the year 2020 or thereafter when respective successors are duly elected and qualified or until they resign or are otherwise removed.

The Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company that is managed by Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc. It is sub-advised by Western Asset Management Company ("WAMCo"). WAMCo is also an affiliate of the investment manager.
