The Euridis association’s main goal is to define and promote the use of industry standards for the design and operation of IoT products for utilities like smart meters & fault detectors.

In its 2019 reports*, IHS Markit predicts that total worldwide LPWAN connections are expected to rise to over 1.7 billion by 2023 with smart metering connections representing over 345 million of this total. Smart utility metering is one of LoRa devices’ proven and most successful applications and LoRa is predicted to represent up to 35 percent of all LPWAN-based smart metering connections in 2023.
