Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Tutor Perini Building Corp., has been selected as the general contractor and has signed a contract with Metropica Development, LLC, valued at approximately $72 million to construct the first of eight residential towers at Metropica, located at 1800 NW 136th Avenue in Sunrise, Florida.

The scope of work for the project includes construction of a 28-story residential tower that will feature 263 units and ten penthouses, a resort-style pool, an indoor game room, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, massage therapy rooms, tennis courts, a movie-theater and a parking garage. The entire development will comprise approximately 697,947 square feet.
Construction is underway and substantial completion is anticipated in August 2018. The value of this contract will be included as part of the Company’s reported fourth quarter 2016 backlog.
