U.S. Bank Selected for U.S. Government GSA SmartPay 3® Payment Program

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has selected U.S. Bank to participate in the GSA SmartPay 3® program for government charge cards and related payment services. A new 13-year agreement allows U.S. Bank to offer purchase, travel, fleet and integrated payment solutions to federal agencies, continuing the bank’s long-term partnership with the government. The GSA SmartPay 3 program takes effect Nov. 30, 2018.

The GSA SmartPay program is the world’s largest government payment program, used by more than 560 federal agencies to obtain charge cards and other payment services from authorized providers. U.S. Bank currently provides payment solutions to a wide range of GSA SmartPay program participants including the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Agriculture, United States Postal Service, Department of Transportation and the Government Accountability Office.

U.S. Bank has been providing card payment programs to federal agencies since 1986, making it the nation's most experienced government payment provider. U.S. Bank payment solutions enhance oversight, promote strategic sourcing and increase efficiency for government agencies, to the financial benefit of the government and taxpayers.

“U.S. Bank is privileged to have supported federal government agencies with payment solutions for more than 30 years, and we are honored to be entrusted with the task of helping to usher in the next phase of the GSA SmartPay program,” said Jeff Jones, president of U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems.
