VPG Transducers Introduces Agribar Load Cell for Agricultural Industry Weighing Applications

The VPG Transducers brand of Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (NYSE: VPG), global designers and manufacturers of standard and custom force, pressure, torque, load, tension and weight sensors, today announced the introduction of its . The Agribar is a heavy-duty, single-ended bending beam load cell, which has been specifically designed for use in the agricultural industry with the capability to have a CAN bus option.

Agribar devices are best suited for installation in large agriculture machinery such as farming spreaders and harvest trailers, where they can be used to measure and control accumulation and dispensing of commodities, such as animal or bird feed and fertilizer.

The beam in the Agribar is constructed from alloy steel with an electrodeposited organic coating, resulting in superior resistance against corrosion and abrasion. This load cell is highly durable and delivers an impressive temperature tolerance and maximum weight capacity. The standard capacity is 6150 kg but other capacities are available upon request.
