Wells Fargo Opens New Recruitment Center Designed to Give Applicants the Look and Feel of a Typical Retail Bank Branch in the U.S.

Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services, LLC-Philippines (EGS-Philippines) has designed a new recruiting facility at the ground floor, Uptown Cluster 2 Building, 36th Street, Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig City, to give job seekers a better understanding of the customer service approach of EGS-Philippines’ U.S. affiliate bank, Wells Fargo in the United States. While the exterior design captures the look of a typical U.S. Wells Fargo branch, the warm interiors -- and even warmer recruiters who immediately greet the applicants as they enter -- show how the bank provides customer service. The retail banking business in the U.S. is part of the banking network supported by team members located in EGS-Philippines. The new recruitment center design is just one example of how Wells Fargo is thinking ahead about growing its in-house center operations and building a stronger, more competitive company.

Strategically located in the growing IT-BPM hub of Bonifacio Global City, the new Uptown BGC recruitment center is modeled on the lines of a typical Wells Fargo Community Banking branch in the U.S. From the time the applicants step into the center, they are immediately greeted and tended to as is done in more than 8,500 Wells Fargo bank branches across the U.S. EGS-Philippines established an easy process flow for taking applications, interviews and scheduling. In doing so, candidates are better able to understand and identify with the Wells Fargo bank brand through the interview process. And, once hired, they can more easily relate to customers over the phone or online by understanding the branch experience. As a result, the design of the center creates a frame of reference for potential talent that helps to improve the overall customer experience.

“The recruitment center in Uptown BGC is a reflection of the anticipated growth that we see in EGS-Philippines,” said Gilda del Rosario, chief administrative officer of Wells Fargo EGS-Philippines. “There is a vast talent pool catering to the financial industry and Wells Fargo offers many career opportunities that allow future team members to succeed in their chosen profession.”

Now entering its sixth year, EGS Philippines has seen solid growth in business processing, corporate, and information technology services. The company is currently building its second location McKinley Hill, targeted to seat more than 7,000 team members, to provide business process, knowledge and risk services, as well as project management and technology support.
