Synthèse conjoncturelle 30 août au 5 septembre 2017 : Le cycle industriel mondial est clairement dans une phase haussière

Trois orientations marquantes ont été confirmées la semaine écoulée : le cycle industriel est dans une phase ascendante, le dollar faiblit encore, le retour de l’inflation reste invisible.
Fait nouveau, les marchés boursiers sont repartis à la hausse sur fond de fléchissement de la volatilité. Cette hausse s’observe surtout à New York et sur la plupart des places émergentes. Les places européennes et japonaise restent en retrait.
La sous-performance des marchés européens peut notamment s'expliquer par la dépréciation du dollar contre l'euro et son incidence sur la compétitivité et les profits des entreprises européennes en zone dollar. Pourtant la croissance résiste aux Etats-Unis particulièrement dans l'industrie. Un constat valable également en Chine et en zone euro.
