Synthèse conjoncturelle du 11 au 17 octobre 2017 : Les niveaux de valorisation des actifs et une certaine insensibilité au risque posent question

La croissance mondiale bénéficie toujours de la dynamique du secteur manufacturier. La hausse de la production industrielle des 51 principales économies, en accélération depuis début 2016, a atteint 3,9% sur un an en août. En corollaire, les cours des métaux communs non ferreux et les taux de fret ont retrouvé leur pic de septembre. Les cours pétroliers remontent, mais trop peu pour stimuler l'inflation.
En l'absence d'inflation ou de nouvelle annonce de normalisation monétaire, les taux d'intérêt se tassent, y compris en Espagne, en dépit de la crise catalane. Dès lors, la question d’une certaine insensibilité des marchés financiers au risque, favorisée par les politiques monétaires ultra-accommodantes, paraît légitime. Elle est soulignée par les nouveaux records atteints par les marchés boursiers mondiaux.
