Synthèse conjoncturelle du 12 au 19 septembre : Les indicateurs de prix ont de nouveau cristallisé l’attention, notamment aux Etats-Unis

Le rebond de l'inflation de base a suffit à bouleverser les anticipations d'inflation à 5 ans dans 5 ans aux Etats-Unis, contribuant à la hausse du taux des obligations d’Etat à 10 ans. Les marchés boursiers n’ont pas réagi, l’indice Dow-Jones touchant même un nouveau record. Il entraîne la plupart des places asiatiques et européennes, à l'exception de Londres.
La remontée du taux souverain britannique a en effet été spectaculaire. L’écart vis-à-vis des taux de la zone euro s’est brutalement tendu, occasionnant une appréciation rapide de la Livre. L'inflation est installée (+2,8% sur un an en août) et pénalise la demande interne.
Si la température du patient anglais monte franchement, quelques signes timides de renforcement de l'inflation apparaissent en zone euro, notamment du côté des salaires.
