Synthèse conjoncturelle du 23 au 29 août 2017 - Les doutes sur la politique économique et monétaire américaine tirent le dollar vers le bas

A noter dans cette édition :
La réappréciation de l’euro face au dollar reste le fait marquant sur les marchés depuis plusieurs semaines. Ce mouvement était prévisible mais sa rapidité peut surprendre.
A Jackson Hole, J. Yellen et M. Draghi ont évité d’évoquer l’évolution à court terme des politiques monétaires. Les marchés y ont vu un nouveau signe d’hésitation dans le processus de relèvement des taux directeurs américains, perception renforcée par la perspective d’un changement à la tête de la Fed début 2018.
A ces doutes s’ajoutent ceux sur la mise en oeuvre des réformes, les indicateurs conjoncturels américains restant par ailleurs mitigés. Le dollar se déprécie d'ailleurs contre la plupart des devises.
