2018 EBA Stress Test Shows Increased Level of Resilience of Major European Banks

The results of the 2018 EBA stress test exercise show an increased level of resilience of the major banking groups in Europe. The CET1 ratio for all banks was above 5.5% in the adverse scenario. On average the Banks had higher CET1 ratios than in the 2016 exercise, despite a generally tougher adverse scenario.
