Province of British Columbia Budget 2022— Still Awaiting Return to Balance

The budget lays out the Province's plan to continue rebuilding from the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic and respond to recent weather events and climate change, all while maintaining a high degree of prudence in the fiscal and debt outlook. While key financial metrics have improved relative to prior expectations, debt continues to rise and will reduce flexibility over the years to come.
