Quarterly European Securitisation Issuance Report – Q3 2022

The European securitisation markets started very strong in 2022, the first quarter proving to be the strongest post-global financial crises for issuance. This momentum was short lived as second-quarter issuance slowed, primarily because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and third-quarter issuance was almost on par with the second quarter because of ongoing concerns about rising inflation, geopolitical tensions, and tightening monetary policies. The total European securitisation issuance amount was EUR 38.7 billion in Q3 2022, which was 27.3% lower than in Q3 2021.
