Fed Policy and the US Bond Market: Back on Collision Course

​In the wake of the April employment report, the US bond market has concluded that the federal funds target will not be raised in 2016.

Easier financial conditions since January, however, removes support for maintaining a dovish monetary policy stance, thereby boosting the prospect of more hawkish FOMC rhetoric.

He began his career as a graduate at PaineWebber in 1986, where he became Head of the London Economics Department in 1996. This role allowed him to engage with senior investment professionals, alongside regulators and provided a unique perspective of market intelligence at work.
