Robi Axiata PLC. (ROBI) is primarily engaged in providing mobile telecommunication services (voice, data and other related services) and IT related services in Bangladesh. The telecommunication operator has four subsidiaries- RedDot Digital Limited (digital services and OTT content), AxEnTec PLC (data center, enterprise solutions, AI, IoT, and cybersecurity), r ventures PLC (venture investment), and Smart Pay Limited (fintech services). In order to consolidate its market position, the telecom operator got merged with Airtel Bangladesh Limited on November 16th, 2016. ROBI has taken a pioneering step in the telecom industry of Bangladesh by initiating the rollout of its 5G network across selected areas of Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet during Q3’25. The rollout of 5G network has opened the potential for the company to capture new revenue streams from enterprise segment by leveraging 5G’s capabilities in ultra-low latency, higher bandwidth, and massive device connectivity to support advanced use cases.
