Antares Energy is focused on the Midland Basin, part of the Permian Basin in West Texas, the birthplace of the unconventional revolution. With approximately 20,000 net acres under lease and no immediate drilling obligation, the company is surrounded by productive wells drilled by some of the biggest players in the unconventional scene. Antares is permitting two 7,500ft lateral wells into the Spraberry trend but requires funding. While services will continue to reduce in cost, the oil price will not help farm-ins or fund-raises. Antares could reward the patient investor.
