Carnarvon is exclusively focused on the prolific North West Shelf of Australia. The region is home to some globally significant projects and since 2009 Carnarvon has worked exploration acreage offshore Western Australia, securing and working on four exploration permits covering approximately 22,000km2 located in the Roebuck Basin, referred to as the Phoenix Project. It has an additional 100% interest in two Barrow sub-basin exploration permits, termed the Cerberus Project.Carnarvon Petroleum is engaged in oil and gas exploration, development and production. Co.'s projects include Phoenix Project, which comprises the WA-435-P, WA-436-P, WA-437-P and WA-438-P permits in the north-western region of the Bedout Sub-basin within the greater Roebuck Basin. In addition, Co.'s Outtrim East Oil Project consists of a 28.5% interest in the WA-155-P(1) permit, and it has an offshore exploration permit, WA-521-P, which is located in the Roebuck Basin. Also, Co.'s Buffalo Project consists of the WA-523-P permit in the Bonaparte basin, and its Cerberus Project includes the EP-490, TP/27 and EP-491 permits located on the eastern flank of the oil producing Barrow Sub basin.
